About

My interest in natural health, wellness, and Chinese Medicine began in my freshman year at Oregon State University. I started taking an extracurricular martial arts class and the teacher, Dale Freeman, was a Chinese Medicine practitioner (Acupuncturist, TCM Herbalist, and Tui Na Massage practitioner). In addition to the martial arts, Dale taught us Tai Chi, Meditation, Chinese Medicine theory, and Tui Na massage. I was hooked!

When I finished my Forestry degree at OSU, I immediately pursued my dream by enrolling in the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine where I earned my Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (a 4 year program).

Besides having a great student clinic that prepared us well for the real word, it also provided us a solid foundation of Western allopathic medicine theory (anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, nutrition science, pharmacology, etc.) allowing us to both understand and bridge the gap between Traditional Chinese Medicine and modern conventional medicine.

After graduating, passing my board examinations, and becoming a Licensed Acupuncturist in 2001, I immediately went into clinical practice and have been doing my best to help people out since.

Since that time I’ve also developed a deep interest in western nutrition, ancestral health, and exercise science. I decided to take that to the next level a couple years back by becoming a Certified Health Coach. This allows me the chance to also help people from a diet and lifestyle perspective which would otherwise be hard to do in the context of a busy acupuncture/massage practice.

I hope you find the information on this site interesting and if you need some help, please check out my coaching and consultation packages to see if one looks right for you.

Take Care and Salud!
